Coco Resin™ is a great solution for hotels, rentals, and private homes where a durable yet beautifully different surface is needed.

Private Island Furniture's exclusive CocoResin™ tabletops are made using a mix of modern chemistry and natural handicraft. First, a layer of custom formulated epoxy resin that includes a coloring agent is cast over a plywood base. Next, hand-split chips of coconut bark or hand-stripped ribbons of coconut shell are artistically placed by hand on the bottom layer and covered with a Private Island Furniture developed clear topcoat – creating a unique CocoResin™ tabletop.

Epoxy resin, traditionally used in commercial manufacturing where a high strength to weight ratio is required, is rated as two times stronger than concrete, and it’s seamless and waterproof. Private Island Furniture adapted an epoxy resin previously used for industrial flooring purposes to create CocoResin™ table tops . The result is an ideal mix of beauty, strength and utility.
